I'm planning on ordering one, when I get some extra cash off ebay, but I'm planning on having it reupholstered anyways. I think it looks great, and my lil girls will actually fit in the back seat. (prolly the only ones that will ever sit/fit there)

Yep... that's why I'm probably going to get one as well. The only way my wife will let me get another CRX for a daily driver is if I put a back seat in it so I can cart the kids around if needed.

the only time i've ever seen those backseats, it was on ebay and you had to pay shipping from australia or germany or some ****. but i dont see a point to getting one.. i mean unless your going to have like a midget or small kids in your backseat. there isnt that much leg room

Well, see, thats where your wrong.
There's actually 2 fakes on eBay this very moment.

I think he meant opinions on functionality.

IMO, it's great. It looks good, it performs good.
I mean, obviously it isnt the biggest seat in the world, but I've no lie fit 3 200lbs+ guys and 2 150lbs guys in my CRX all at once. And it seriously wasnt unbearable.
People clown it all the time, but you can comfortably fit 3-4 people in a CRX. There's more then enough room on the pass. side for there to be one in the front and one in the back.

The ONLY real discomfort of the Backseat is you might hit your head on the hatch. I'm 5'11 and I hit on bumps but if your under 5'10, you aint hittin your head. (Yes, I have made people drive me around while I sat in the backseat)

Here's my How To on the Rear Seat and install:

They sell for under $300 all the time, just bc the ones on eBay right now are listed at $300 doesnt mean thats what they cost.

I paid $400 straightup for mine in mint condition back in 02 or 03, plus $200 S/H

IMO the use of having a backseat is well worth the cost.

I have one, the cool thing is it's actualll cloth, the same material as the front Si seats. I'd never seen that before. Anyway, install is a bit of a pain and there are no provisions to mount the seatbelts, which sucks. I will be welding in crazy strong plates for mine when I get a minute, but otyher than that, I love how it looks and it will be functional.

Man I am about 5'10 and been in mates crx's in the back seat and I have to sit with my head forwards or to the side to clear the hatch, not to mention you dont have much foot room, its is very uncomfortable in back seat lol ''but thats just my experience''

I'm 300 lbs, 6 foot. I sat shotgun, my buddy drove, his girlfriend and my 6 foot lanky cousin rode in the back. I couldn't believe we all fit!!

All that stuff can be found in my How To.

It all depends how you sit. If there's only 3 people, the guy in the back sits with his legs to the side, there's more then enough room. If your tryin to sit straight up with your legs str8 in front of you, of course it's gonna be cramped, but a good comparison are 93-97(i think) Prelude backseats. No more leg room in that then in a CRX backseat

Yeah preludes leg room is even worse! its amazing for the size of the car how small the inside is ... I would even go as far as saying the crx has more room ...

anyway imagine being in the back seat of a crx in a crash ... now that would really suck
