90-91 civic ex 15/16 ths master cylinder and brake booster
So searching for this was a PITA, coming up with crappy results. So I think a fresh thread needs to be made on what I have been told is a easy replacement/upgrade.
My master cylinder was leaking on the crx & so i knew that the brake booster was in need of replacement as well. ( i only want to do this once)
( brake boosters supposedly cause the funky idles we all hate when they are goint bad too. makes sense, big vacum goin through there, shouldn't the seals be good to keep your idle in good kahoots?)
So sure enough the idle was acting up & also I decided to go ahead and buy fastbrakes 11" setup for the front. (sure i could have swapped to an integra front spindle, but i already have new balljoints, wheel bearings etc. in place. the integra spindle gives you more + camber because it is longer, which is good for those who daily drive)
Then I found some reman integra calipers loaded with pads on ebay. Enter this # to see them.

$20.00 you can't get any better than that, do yourself a favor n buy them now. I bet the pads absoultely suck, but for now I'm going to run them. Why spend all this money & then only use the crap pads? Why not they will work fine for my duties and dusting should be lower. A thing I care about with my nice wheels
so, mind you i have had everything for about a month, sans the brake lines (friend hookup)
So, this weekend was the weekend to go from shitty stock crx brakes to the big brakes in the front (i'll convert rear disc later..maybe) Not quite sure why I chose not to open everything up until yesterday, but well the picture says it all.

As you can see I was sent one slotted and drilled rotor, and the other just slotted. hey i'm a fan of only slotted, and not so on the drilled, but so I'm waiting a reply on how fastbrakes will fix the situation. You can even see it marked on the box.....

I'm not fussing, humans make mistakes, but my post is getting off track.
The booster I bought is a 90-91 Civic ex, as is the master cylinder. Now I did initially pair the two up and notice that the master cylinder pushrod does not sit flush with the booster.
(you would think i would have tackled the situation before moving any further. hell i have even swapped out a booster before and had the same problem
on me)

I measured the 4.6" it talks about pictured above thinking that would solve my problem. But the master cylinder and booster do not sit flush. How can this be remedied? Do I need to remove the booster (that's going to suck) and adjust the pushrod on the booster side? Or can I adjust the master cylinder?
That's where I am stuck.
So I must be tired, this was the next page. Dammit, I have to take the booster out again. You would think I would have done all this before installing.

master cylinder: ebay. turned out cheaper that way
booster: advanced auto parts or whatever cheaper through them
calipers: ebay. hella cheap
brake lines: free
rotors/adapers (they better work good) fastbrakes.

nadie. they just are aluminum brackets that relocate a caliper further outward (integra caliper)
i need 1/4" spacers haha, but man does it sit flush now w/the spacers

my master cylinder didn't sit flush b/c i had doubled up on the mc/booster rubber gasket (i think the mc and booster both came with one so it was doubled up)
You just have to adjust it to make the pedal height correct and the brake light switch. Hopefully that is. Haven't driven mine due to waiting on picking up some 1/4" spacers tomorrow.
this is with washers only, sits nicely
