Default Oil pressure problem?

Hey,
Okay I am trying to get my vtec working on my h22, and following the helms charts. I am testing oil pressure right now. It says test a t speeds of 1k, 3k, and 5k . Then it asks is pressure below 7psi. Well at 1k, and 2k it is ...but a t 5k I have 85psi of pressure. Is this right? Or is pressure suppose to come at exactly the vtec point?
Thanks,
Josh

Well i don't know much bout the H22 but I can tell you that your oil pressure will be higher when the vtec kicks in compared to before it kicks in. I know on my civic oil pressure if roughly 75 psi around 5000rpm...when i get to 5800rpm and my vtec kicks in the oil pressure goes up to around 80 or so. I dont know if that helps, but i tried. I'm not used to 4 bangers, my summer project last year was a 350 for my impala, hehe
