Default Unique spot for my Autometer A/F gauge on my EF hatch....

I just intalled this yesterday. I know its not very accurate and somewhat useless, but it can give you an idea of where you're at plus I got it for FREE!

Anyways I wanted to mount it low and out of the way and I spotted a perfect little place for it to go....

Now all I need to do is get an o2 sensor....

It might be hard to tell from the pics, but its in plain sight while driving. I wouldn't take the trouble to hook it up and drill a hole to mount it in a place where I can't easily see it....

im not a fan of anything that takes peoples eyes off the road while they are driving.

Also, a AF ratio guage like that is more for bling than function, so put it up somewhere so u can show it off

Don't care what you say...

I had my wideband on my Pillar pod.. and I still hated looking over to read the readings off it when driving... so if it's down .. it would be even worse.

I put mine where the ashtray went and my dad put it into the stock deck on his cobra.

That gauge is only for show pretty much, unless its a wideband 02 sensor which the gauge is not for.

hmmm.....well I like it and if everyone would read my previous posts I know the gauge is impractical. I installed it for my own pleasure, no one elses. If the ricer next to me can't see it in my A-pillar I could care less. The only person I need to show it off to is myself... As for me selling the car with a hole in the dash, I don't think so. I'll either leave it in there if the next owner wants it, or pick up a new piece for next to nothing.....not really a big deal.

I like it, I was going to put my tach in that location aswell since it would look really cool at night and keep it hidden from other people but I was too lazy to mount it there. Luckilly now I have a cluster with a tach.

Impracticl yadda yadda hard to see yadda yadda, whatever I give you and A for effort I'm not really a fan because you'd have to look away from the road infront of you and I don't like pillar guage ods for the same reason here is what i did

Just a question for you guys, since you're acting like this gauge is as important as a water temp or oil pressure. Do you honestly think anyone needs to continuously look at the a/f gauge once the car is tuned? No, you just check it every so often to make sure everything's alright. Climb up off of dude's nuts.

Thanks for the support. I like those gauges you posted and the placement is great for keeping your eyes on the road, but to me it would "cluster" up the cluster.... Its all about preference. I wanted the guage out of the way, but still easy enough to see. Its not like I need to stare at it all the time like 91SiZ6 already said.

Is that a custom piece or can you buy it somewhere? Looks pretty good...
