Default 2001 accord... need extra OEM keyless entry/alarm

<FONT COLOR="blue">

I just bought a 2001 honda accord EX sedan.
It only came with 2 key & but only alarm.
My wife & I both drive the car so it's a hassel to keep switching remotes.

Q:
How much does honda charge for an "alarm keyless entry remote"?

Is there an cheaper way of doing it? (buy from ebay?) have honda program it???

TIA
Charlie Moua

ebay has remotes for WAY cheaper than the dealership will sell them for. I believe most sellers give you programming instructions as well. I used to know how to do it... it's actually a very simple procedure. All you'll need to program them is your key, all your remotes, and your car.

The keyless entry fob (which is what I think you want) runs $79 at the dealer, or you can buy it for $59 plus shipping here:

http://www.handa-accessories.com/accelect01.html

Scroll towards the bottom, "Keyless Entry Remote for EX".

As for programming it:

I think that's what you are looking for. Or, of course, ebay.

I bought one for my 2002 Accord on ebay for 11.00 shipped. Found the program online, and did it in 5 minutes. Works perfectly.

s2k remotes won't work 100% with the Accord.
