obx products are hit or miss as ar as quality. One can be great and the next not so great, their single biggest problem is lack of quality control....

I don't think quality would be an issue on an intake manifold. as long as it is engineered properly and all casting marks are cleaned up. I don't see how an intake manifold can 'wear out'

with poor welds and even worse quality control, you'd be amazed what can happen.

Stay away from the OBX. Go with a Edelbrock or Skunk2 if you want a good quality aftermarket intake.

I'd also reccomend AEBS, nearly as cheap as the OBX and has been proven to out perform the original skunk2 and blox(hav'ent seen any tests against the S2 pro series or the edlebrocks though.) Also Talking from a personal experience....DO NOT GET AN IM BEFORE YOU HAVE CAMS. I only gained about 5-7 hp after 5k and before that there were losses up to 6hp. This was on a b16 that now has every bolt on (i/tb/im/h/e) with no cams, I really wish I would have waited, but when I finlly do get cams the motor will really rip.

Get a Professional Products manifold actually. They are the ones that make the AEBS manifold yet charge less for it....
