Default Sagging Front Bumper 5th Gen

Is this a notroious thing? The front bumper sags and seems loose, I mean you can see the foglights shaking all over the place when you hit bumps. My gf and I tried to readjust the bumper.

On 5th Gen's the bumper support is attached to the bumper cover so we just unbolted the bumper support through the bumper light and reset the bumper and bolted it back up, as soon as tighten the bolt in all the way on the passenger side, you can see the bumper slide down a bit.

The driver side was ok till we tried to re-adjust the bumper so now both sides sag down and it's annoying cuz 1-it looks like **** and 2-the foglights shake all over the place.

Ideas? TIA

are you sure that either the bolts or bolt holes are not stripped out?

I'm pretty sure, if either one were stripped then they would just keep turning correct? We torque it until it won't move anymore but the bumper support still slides down like it's nt completely in, maybe I need to spray some lubricant on it or something, it could be that the bolt seizes maybe.

try putting some washers on the bolt if the bolt, maybe its not the original bolt and perhaps its too long and bottoms out before it can make contact with the support...

I'll give it a shot tomorrow, I'll report back after me and my gf give it a go.

So apprantly the factory lock nut washers were so smashed that it became just a regular washer so we added a new one and it seems to holding up just fine. Thanks all.
