Default are heat shields a MUST HAVE for ITR headers?

was plannin on gettin itr headers for my gsr, and was wondering if heat shields are a must for these headers? i really dont want to fork over an extra $100 for them but will consider.

its a matter of ticket issue. when a peace office pulls you over it sometime helps to have an upper heatshield to keep the itr header out of sight making it appear to be just your average oem header.

You don't need them, but as mentioned, they would be very sleeper with the head shield.

not a Needed item like said, but might be good for issuses with the popos.

I would get it for sure? Actually i plan on them too. There not a 100 either there a deal if you search i think alot cheaper. Anyways cops in cali are gay and i have failed at the state ref because a ticket 5 times. Plus work to get my car to pass smog is still adding up. So think about it tickets and trouble are way more than 100. I have personally spent over 1000 because this trouble with the state ref.

you dont need them, most cops will think they are stock with or without the heat shields

people who know what they are looking at can spot an ITR header quite easily

the only real use for them is for keeping heat in so it will not affect radiator temp and other misc parts
