decisions decisions
i've recently come into some money(job paychecks building up, graduation party money) and i would like to dump it into my accord. 95 ex, F22b1. anyhoo. i'm not going cosmetic, i want to just play with the engine first. i was going to do a h22 head swap, but i've recently changed my mind based on several factors, and i'm just gonna just build up the motor for now, then boost when i acquire some more money.i got a basic 2.5" exhaust, CAI w/ K&N air cleaner, and an OEM intake manifold. i've been looking for a bigger throttle body, but no luck so far. any of you guys know of a company that makes aftermarket ones for the f22b1, or of any bigger bored TB's that would bolt up? also, looking for other all-motor performance enhancing bolt on's that i have not thought of, so any help coming up with some ideas would help me bunches. looking at a greddy header, aem cam gear, and random technology hi-flow cat. idea's anyone?
check out maxbore.com, he does good work on throttle bodies.
if you're serious about going turbo in the future don't waste money on **** you'll have to replace with the turbo setup. (ie: header)
a cam regrind will pick up a few ponies. unfortunately the F series has almost zero support for n/a. short of putting in h/c pistons you won't get many gains n/a with this motor.

first of all, how much money do you have to spend? If you're wanting to build a block thats gonna cost you quite a bit and your car probably isnt going to run right with lower compression pistons in it if you're trying to drive it n/a while waiting to buy a turbo kit.

you can hardly notice a difference N/A with lower comp pistons, it will run fine.
I dropped my motor's comp from 9.3:1 to 8.5:1 and it will run perfectly on the stock ecu.

depends. some engines respond better to cam upgrades then others. and its really all in the cam profile, sadly i cant think of anyone who makes cams for our accords (there is one company but i forgot the name of them). no one wants to put some serious R&D time and money into the accords

Kteller also offers a regrind cam for the F22B1 by Rocket Motorsports. Kteller offers valve train parts for the F22B1 as well.

well, see, what i wanted to do, is build up everything else before i boosted. so, i'm getting all my lightweight pulleys and dampeners and whatnot first, as well as any bolt ons that'll give me a few more horses for the time being. that way i got a solid engine base to work off of. then, once i got the money - do internals and boost the crap out of that *****'. lots of good info/sites though, thanks for all your help dudes.
