can i interchange JDM and OEM ITR parts for headers, catback, cat converter, etc.?
if i have a 2001 gsr are jdm and oem itr with stock gsr parts interchangable? for example, can i get a JDM ITR 4-1 header and an ITR OEM piping and muffler, with my stock gsr cat converter?
i know some of the part sizes are SLIGHTLY different, so i just want to make sure.

the GSR header is slightly shorter than a JDM ITR
if you want to run the JDM ITR header you need to run a test pipe or an aftermarket hi-flo cat that can be a custom length
the other option is to get an after market exhaust system

how bout if i get a usdm itr 4-1 header with a usdm itr piping and muffler on my stock gsr cat converter?
gsr is the odd-ball of exhaust systems.
ITR and LS parts are all interchangeable but the gsr will only interchange with gsr exhaust parts
why dont you keep your N1 set up?

the n1 is way too loud now. plus, i want to get itr headers to go with my cam gears and itr cam shafts.
so if i get stock catback, piping and muffler from a usdm 2000 type-R, i can't connect that to my gsr cat converter??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think only the '94-'99 GSRs have a different length. GSRs from '00-'01 should have the same length as a 94-01 ls/gs/itr. Since he said he has a 2001 GSR I think length won't be an issue.

i did read that on another thread awhile back. but how about the size of the pipe that goes on one of the gsr cat converter?
