Autozone Axle Halfshaft fyi
I'm participating in a combined autox/top speed event soon, I thought I'd make sure the hatch was up to the task.
----
Had the car up to 80-something-mph the other day with a vibration in the front end (which began at around 80 mph), the car also shuddered on acceleration through 3rd gear.
I'd recently replaced the passenger side axle with an Autozone remanufactured unit, which coincided with the shuddering.
That axle didn't even look right, the inner joint appeared stretched more so than the one it was replacing-
....
I took advantage of the lifetime warranty and I put another in last night.
Road test was great, the axle looks like it belongs there.
....
Moral of story: Autozone axles appear to be of great quality

Yup heard this many times now, if it shutters take it back and get another...I bet they are regreting the lifetime warrenty, i can deal with a shittty axle everyt now and then because I'm sure i'll be braking a few once the turbo is one

Actually it is funny cause they do not care. They are still making them so cheap that even if they replace several on the warranty for the cost they have in them they do not care. Just like the alternators and that crap.

The company (Fenco is the ones I get) can rebuild a drive shaft for less then 20$ when they are doing as many as they do.
The company that sells them (Part Source or whereever) gets replacement for 80$, but are refunded the 80$ in cores haha. Free trade off. I used to work there. I found a way to get free ones too. I get whatever I want for free haha. Cheating the system. And the company won't look into it, cause you leave them a core, you get a new one back, they don't get charged or see a loss, you see a gain in good axles. I'm stock pilling them soon.
