Default PasswordJDM, bad business?

Im just curious how everyones experience with PasswordJDM is.

Ive just purchased a CRX project car and i was planning to purchase an SIR front end. I eventually find them available from PasswordJDM for $1200 plus shipping, fine. That was back a few weeks ago knowing nothing about CRXs. So then i contact them to purchase a front end since i saw their thread in the sponser section. The person writes to me suggesting that i purchase new fenders because they are usually banged up really bad and require extensive bodywork. He suggests spending another $100-$200 for new fenders for a total of $1300-$1400.

Eventually i find other retailers selling the exact same conversion for $800, theres several of them. On top of this they include the OEM front lip which PasswordJDM leaves out. Makes me kinda skeptical.

Im paying more for supposedly better parts but they say i would be getting banged up fenders. And they leave out the front lip so they can sell it on the side.

ask for Leo or Steve. they'll help you more than you'll know.

i bought my EF9 front end plus other EF9 used parts from them way back 2 years ago shipped all over here in the Middle East. they noted me the same but with a none good condition lip. instead they offered me something to trade off of it. 2 free PasswordJDM shirts for your fenders, as long as your old ones are mint, you can use them, just make a hole for the side markers. mine had OE side markers already so i just set aside the ones from password... gettin dusted till now. btw, my fenders are better than those ones shipped so it's a give and take for used parts

they are good and honest people

I see no "bad business" there...just an inflated price. They were up front and honest about the fenders before a dime was spent, so to PWJDM. Call them and tell them about the price diff. you've found, they may change their own price.

Exactly as Autoworks said, Present them with others pricing and they may change it for you. Be ready to link them to other sites though in case they call your bluff...

every other shop around here can get the sir front end from anywhere from 700 to 800 bucks. i dont know why password charges so much. but any how i have bought stuff from them, and their service was good. like some one said, bad buisness-no, overpriced -yes. imo

The real problem is that those shops that do charge $700-$800 are all on the West/East coast. Midwest gets no love.

i saw a bunch selling them for $800 but i cant remember them right now. hmotorsonline.com is one of them.

ohh and by the way im sure PasswordJDM is a reputable shop. Its just that they sell their conversion for 50% more than several other places, they sell the front lip for an extra $100 when it should be included, and they said the fenders are in bad condition and suggested that i spend another $100-200 for new fenders! Its kinda like buying a $20,000 civic with a $10,000 dealer markup. If a dealership forced me to pay an additional 50% i'd be pissed!

Hmotors is a great place to buy JDM front ends for our cars...but alot of the times they are sold out, like it says right now and usually when they get a shipment in, the front ends only last like a week so u gotta be on the lookout on the website of when they post them and head down there ASAP!
