So I just got my mini me A6 swap in and the last thing I have had to do was the wiring. I got my jumper for the P28 ECU that I am running, and got the injectors all wired up, along with the o2 sensor. But now I have the distributer, and I have ran into a problem. On the Z6 distributer that I am using there is 7 wires NOT including the 2 wires (black and blue) that already match up. And then on the engine harness there is only 5 wires on the plug that is supposed to plug into the 7 on the OBD1 dizzy.....

What am I supposed to do with the extra wires? Diagrams and specific descriptions would be great!

I tried to make sense with all of this and I need this wiring done tonight. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty much my question is simply this:

::::::::<U>OBD0 Engine Harness with a OBD1 Distributer</U> ::::::::::
There is 7 wires on the distributer and 5 wires on the engine harness NOT including the 2 that match up.

So what do I do when wiring the 7 wires into the 5 wires?

Sorry if it doesnt make sense to any of you. But its the best way I can put it.

Why I did my mpfi/obd1 swap I used my obd0 plugs and just ran the two extra wires straight from the ecu to the dizzy.

Been there... Didnt answer my question... Still need to know what tje two extra wires go to....

you need a dpfi to mpfi conversion, your car is dpfi if you only have 5 wires on that plug. We offer that on my website contact me if you dont/cant do it yourself... my computer crashed, and I dont have the how too links saved

 

Got it... My MAP wasnt plugged in and its still wired for DPFI so only two injectors are fueling the cylinders. Anyone have a link to DPFI to MPFI?
