I have a 94 Vtec Accord automatic and between 1500 and 3500 rpm the car is really bogging down. There is no acceleration and at times it feels like it is going to stall. Usually happens when the car is warm but with some recent hot weather it happens when the car is cold too.

It only happens sometimes and is off and on during the same trip. One minute the acceletation is fine, the next there is no acceleration unless you go above 3500 rpm. Sometimes the car accelerates fine then gear changes and then there is no acceleration.

I disconnected the egr vacuum line and blocked it off. It seemd to happen less but it was still happening. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor all replaced 6 months ago.

Any ideas??????????????????????????????????

 

I'm not sure but maybe the warm air is causeing a decres in the amount of gas going in to the engine.

 

Check you cap and your fuel filter.

 

MY car started to do the same thing last week..

I retarded the ignition by 4 degrees and use Sunoco 94 I will change my gas filter tomorrow just in case...

I think them problem is due to lower octane or gas formulation as i have had 4 other people describe simular symtoms in the last few days..Hummm strange.
