WTF! Changed my alternator and now nothing works
I have a 1990 HF with a D15 whose alternator was going bad so I decided to swap it out this afternoon. First off the car ran and all electrical items worked before the swap and now nothing not even a single little light bulb comes on. The batterys brand new and sparking so its not dead. Anybody have an idea? I mean there's only a green plug and what I'm guessing is a ground goin into the alternator so whats up with this thing?
the big single wire is not a ground!!!!!! it is a main positive wire. if it has been grounded by accident it has probably drained the batt, or shorted, or burnt a fuse, check your alternator fuse as well

Yeah you guys are absolutely right. I'm an idiot. I had a friend come over and he confirmed for me I'm an idiot also and we changed one of the fuses in the fuse box in the engine bay that blew. Thanks for all the help.
