Sun Roof blowing fuse right away!! *SEARCHED*
I just sold my hatchback and picked up my brothers 97 Teg GSR. For some odd reason he romved his dashboard last year, I guess to install an alarm of something, but for whatever reason he says he forgot to plug in the sun roof plug somewhere behind the dash.....I have no idea if there is even a plug for the sun roof behind the dash. It's not the plug that actually goes into the switch that opens and closes the roof, that plug is plugged in. when i put a fuse in it blows as soon as i try to open the moon roof. Now i know some people are gonna say there's a loose wire somewhere...you should have searched blah blah.....I guess i only really need to know is if there is a plug behind the dash for the moon roof, and do i have to remove the dash to get to it. Thanks in advance

remove the lower panel under the steering wheel...and search
i would think there is a plug that goes into the sunroof switch. but i guess that's not what you're looking for? i don't know wtf you're trying to say....
recap:
-the plug to the switch is in
-the fuse blows out as you open the sunroof
does the sunroof even attempt to move? do you hear the motor going? are you sure that it was working before the dash was changed?

*The plug that goes into the switch thats opens the sun roof IS plugged in
*motor does not have a chance to move the sun roof, fuse blows as soon as i hit the switch
*sun roof was working before removal of dash
*supposedly theres another plug behind the dash ( can anyone confirm? )
* if there is a plug back there, why would it cause me to blow my fuse???
* Is there anyway I can test the wires to find out where the short is coming from.
THANKS AGAIN!

Another thing that might help is when i plug the fuse into the slot with the key out, my car starts beeping as it would if i turn my key to the II position. What might make it do that??
