pm6 ecu..and year ID
When I did my mpfi swap all the parts were SUpposedly from a 90' crx si. However the car i found out is supposed to be an 88.
I was wondering what certain code on the pm6 ecu would tell me the year its from..or atleast the 88-89 and 90-91 section....thanks in advance

the easiest way to tell is to take the cover off and see if it has an external eeprom chip.
this computer has no external eeprom, and is extremely difficult to chip. this is actually a pm7 but is in the same family as the pm6 and will look almost identical to the 88-89 pm6

if your computer has this chip in the bottom right corner, with the wire harness plugs on the left, then you have a 90-91 external eeprom pm6 that is easily chippable.

perfect....will check that asaps..thanks
i looked on the net prior and it said if you have after pm6 a sticker that says a09 then your good....mine is the US ecu that says that but i didnt check the inside to see if it has the easily chippable unit..but im sure it does if it carries that number.
BUT i still dont know 100% what year its from..as i know the 88's had less power partially due to the ecu, hopefully its a 90.
