98 Accord Coupe w/ H22A4 Swap. NEED HELP..
I did my swap years ago and i need to know if anyone knows which driverside engine mount do i use. I'm using the accord one for the past years now and only 1 bolt is holding up that mount. The bolt snapped once, but i'm afraid it might happen again. If anyone knows anything please advise me which mount to get. Year/make/model would be appreciated. I'm not at my home computer right now, but when I get home later tonight I can provide you with a link with the answer. I could try to describe it to you, but since I haven't done it myself I'd rather just provide you with the source of the info. If I forget to post it by tonight, send me a PM tomorrow and remind me.
Here you go... These 2 threads should answer your question.

I've got the same set up in my car, except mine's a 95 JDM H22A, my H22A4 threw a bearing and it's toast.
The engine mount should be a 2000 Honda Accord Euro R. You can only get this car in Japan and the UK from what I've read, if you find a retailer that will sell you one, please let me know, because I've been searching for one for the past year.
Hasport told me the same garbage they told you, I was willing to drive my car 2k miles and spend 3-4 days in Arizona to get it done, too.

hey bro what kind of lip is that on your accord coupe? that is nice. i have the h23a vtec motor in my 4 door accord same year as yours.
It's the HONDA OEM LIP. Gotta buy it from honda. I'm not sure, but i think it's discontinued. What kind of driverside mount did you use for your swap?
Don't know if these would help, since I don't have a 98-02.

First of beautiful lookin ride. I was just wondering if it wasnt any trouble for you can you give me a few pointers on what I would need to do for the same swap. I already have in my possession a 99 honda prelude h22a4. I want to drop the H22a4 into my 98 accord coupe (same black color as yours). Ive never done this swap so I would apprecite it if you can just tell me what might be something to be aware of while doing this swap. Thank you for your time. -John R aka Spooky1

so has anyone been able to figure out the driver side mount? if you have can you post pictures and a small write up on the fix, thanks ... by the way the innovative mount kit that is suppose to work with the h22 as well as the f23 still need modification ...

Just as a suggestion for the tails... I haven't really seen a good replacement set (I hate those crappy euro looking ones) but you could tint them out a bit. Use nightshade or a few other products they have now and you'd have a pretty clean look (especially on a black car). I wouldn't tint them all the way because its not too original or legal, but a darker look would be nice.
My favorite is shaving off the middle section of the lights, but not all of us can afford to do it.
Btw, I have to say I love the look of your coupe as well 98Accord DOHC. That thing is immaculate in the pictures.
The question about the lip was answered previously by the OP. Its an OEM lip kit. I believe you can still get it from oemlip.com. Its expensive, but it does look really nice...

I know you may have a coupe and mine isn't black... but I'll show you how my tail lights turned out just as an example of what can be done with remote control car tint spray (can be found in almost any hobby or model shop). These have also been clear coated as well.

hey bro i got a 98 fodo! wit the h22a4 swap ok? all they accord mounts and brackets work! now for the drivers side mount you need to use the whole bracket ,the part that mounts to the block, its alot smaller but thats how it is done and the bottom hole you need to widen it a little ... just a little you see what you needs to do once you see it :i used a drill:and then the oil pan rubs a lil on the sub frame i grinded it down a lil and thats all ther is to it bro good luck! oh and ther is four hole/bolts for the h bracket ther is only 3 for the f bracket but thats all you need but the mounts just order f23 mounts if you want solid ones!
hey you need to change the bracket itself! ther is 4 bolts on the bracket that mount it to the block (h22 bracket). you will need the f23 bracket and only 3 of these bolts will be used the bottom hole will need to be widened a lil bit just use a drill very simple! then use your mmount and you are in business!
i have the same set up in my 98 fodo ex
