Default Modified stock front bumper

I've been wanting to make the front end of my car look more aggresive for quite some time now, but 99.7% of the body kits out there are gay, and the .03 (mugen or similiar ripoff) are totally played out. Finally my buddy and I, while shaving his engine bay (later post with pics on that beauty) figured it out. Its not done yet, but so far we have cut open the front to allow my entire FMIC to be exposed. (we had to notch out the front crossmember to do so) We took the piece from the top we cut out and plastic welded it back in, just 1 1/2 up. We trimed the bottom of the bumper off (basically so there was no underside) and plastic welded a bottom of another stock bumper on.

By the end of tonight (hopefully) I will have all that done as well as smoothing to the sides of my FMIC. We are going to angle the plastic in a lil bit so the air will be pushed into the FMIC.

Plans past all that are the graft on a DA front lip and possibly, if we can make it work, plastic weld the top of a CRX front bumper on so I can eliminate that annoying filler piece between the bumper and headlights.

I'll post some pics soon of the progress so far. It looks pretty badass even though its not nearly done. Gonna go and order some panelbond today so hopefully I can have this done by next weekend.

Will have pics up tomorrow, left the camera at the garage. Bottom bumper extension is on, angled pieces for FMIC are on, and plate holes are filled in. The plastic welding is going so well and is so strong I don't think there is going to even be a need for the panelbond that I bought.

Here are some pics of my hatch bumper next to his CRX bumper. We shaved his marker lights. We have gotten more work on mine done since these pics, I will get more up by the end of this weekend.

Heres also a couple sneek peak pics at his engine bay that we're shaving

No, they were taken with my camcorder. They were too dark to really see so I had to brighten them. Thats why they look a lil crappy.

If anyone in or around PA has a cheap cheap cheap CRX bumper (I only need the very top section) let me know. I need one. Did I mention cheap as I don't know if the top section will work out anyways...

Are you using a plastic welder on the bumper?
