Default 6th gen v6 tranny..

Here we go.. Rough shifts from park to reverse, rough from anywhere to drive, slips sometimes upon take off. 60k miles.. I have 02 v6. Time to take it to Honda? Only mod is a AEM SRI.

u got 2 problems from what I can tell

1. Trans is most likely toasted

2. Engine mounts

Yep. I am thinking trans for sure. I am starting to get sloppy downshifts too. I am just happy this is covered under an extended warranty. My dad thinks that I am just ******* my car out and doesn't understand this is a HORRIBLE tranny.

your car is NOT under ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY. Only the 00-01 cars are covered by a 100K 7yr powertrain warranty. If you have the complete maint records, try contacting Honda of America (HOA) and see if they will assist you with the repair.

If you are under 50K mosty likely they will take care of it

50-100K they might split the cost or make you pay labor and they pay for the part.

that's nothing compared to the$3-5K for repair/replacement costs.
