Those aren't for DC2
:EDIT:
Basically, the newer spec Aragosta are DOUBLE-ADJUSTABLE like the ones in the pic Reid posted.

I put Aragosta suspension in the same boat as "Quantum". They're very expensive and and seem to have nice features, but no one seems to use them for racing. To me, that means that they're not all that good.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to hear some proven facts about these systems. Until then, it just seems like they're overhyped due to hearsay.

Aragosta used to be rather popular with a now defunct shop in Vancouver.
Altogether, they were very expensive and while my experience were limited with them, they didn't appear to be very impressive with their long damper bodies (DC2/5th gen civic apps) and rather low spring rates.
They did look nice, until I broke one of the adjustable collar allen heads - word to the wise, always use anti-seize if your climate calls for it.

mine look most like those right there except my springs are white, most likely either swapped out springs or they are old and the purple faded... the paints coming off the springs quite a bit. i think ill probably re powder coat the springs and check these for leaks before i run them. whats the MSRP on that set you posted BLACK OPPS?
wow you guys are fast, and very complete... this is why i love the type R forum better than all other H+T

If your suspension is this old, you may as well have them rebuilt before you install them in your car.

What kind of spring rates are currently on the coilovers? Were they used on the track, and if so, what did your friend upgrade to?

he doenst know this car used to be his brothers but he moved away and now he just got done reworking the whole car. the front half got stolen so no front struts only the rears FYI he just got done with it and the car is amazing...
simply amazing
so he has no idea on spring rates and most of the writing is worn off or paint chipped off... could i just replace the springs with something i do know the rate of? like some GC coilover springs?

Has Top Secret ever won any circuit races? I'm not trying to discredit them by any means, but I always thought their specialty was making highway/dyno queens with 1000+ hp.

Everything except the DC5, R34, and March is unrelated to the kind of track stuff we're doing. Their DC5 and R34 are not the fastest in their respective classes.

That's what it seems like. I'm glad to see more tuners (and people) realizing that show queens are a waste of time.

If your shocks don't say "Moton", you have not yet reached baller status.

"The new Clubsport line is for the serious Club racer and high performance street racer. Bred from our winning racing shocks, the new Clubsport line has the same technology and precise adjustment range that has made us a leader in suspension technology.
The new Clubsport line is a high-tech system, at an affordable price."
affordable price eh?
is that why the application list for "street racers" is
BMW, DODGE(VIPER),FERRARI,MINI,PORSCHE?
baller status indeed... remind me to get some of those Motons when iget my 911 turbo.

look at the July issue of modified mag, pg 96, white skyline green wheels, look at the dampers
top secret started racing in 2001
reid i agree with you in that there is no hard evidence or enough race data to show that these dampers are worth it. i'd love to be able to see a shock dyno of an aragosta damper.
