Ok my car has been acting funny lately, When i take off in first the cars doing a bump bump bump like its grabbing but not, im thinking its slipping but is it somthing else thats happening, it only does it after the clutch is warmed up i guess u could say?

 

To test for a slip try starting up in a high gear, and if you can (4th or 5th) it's prolly slipping, how many miles are on it?

 

this is the forth post that sounds like mine... is the car shuddering? i had the same problem... my igniter went bad...dropped my spare distributor in adjusted timing....and voila... what happens when u floor it? this week should be declared national honda distributor take a **** week... does it happen in any other gears?

heres my original post entitle "Clutch Issue?"

the other day i got in my car and started it up.... dove off. i noticed the rpms jumping around like crazy like jumping up to 4- 5000+ by itself while i was driving. the clutch didnt seem to be not grabbing tho. but then all of a sudden i got on the gas and the car's rpm went WAY low an the car studdered and it felt like the clutch was grabbing and then not grabbing really hard but i was slowing down like i was downshifting! then all of a sudden it studdered really badly and then it felt like it grabbed and i got moving normal again.... What the hell was that? now i see my rpm thing doing the jumping thing sometimes randomly. the clutch is really new and is a clutchmasters stage 3 on a b18b. any ideas what the heck this is??

well not really it just does it taking off, racing it grabs everytime, my car has 161 thousand and i dont know if thats the original clutch probobly not.

 

depends how u drive and who owed it before u if anyone .... maybe try what SVOboy said?... i still had the same symptoms as u but it got progressively worse and it showed up in all gears.

 

my uncled owned it before me and he never was rough on it treat it like his baby.

 

i treat it like a new car really i dont get init to much.
