So I went to pick up this CRX on Friday...

I purchased it from the owner's uncle's assistant. Owner is in South Carolina, car was with the uncle in far east Iowa, uncle went out town, owner sent title and bill of sale,...blah blah blah - crazy **** nonetheless. I was actually suprised that the whole transaction worked out. I almost left without it though because the damn thing wouldn't start (didn't find this out until after a 4 hour drive to see it). Replaced the battery and it was good to go. I ended up getting a smokin deal on this beast because there were a few things the owner 'forgot' to mention before I got there. I even got a matching car cover and a couple extra ECU's.
I was a bit worried about the drive home, but it did great...even survived Chicago rush-hour traffic! I didn't dare shut it off once though because we didn't know if it was the battery or alternator was shot...the guy said the battery was new. Probabably froze from sitting over the winter. Damn battery acid was spilling out of it...duh!
It has been sitting for close to a year so a tune-up is definitely in need, as well as new rotors and passenger side axle. I'm plesently suprised with it though. It was a pretty sucky drive though because the CD player is messed up so I rode the whole 5 hour drive home with the windows down and no tunes. Definitely worth it though.
Plans are to keep it stock and get it running good...probably run it in stock class at autocross and possibly move to STS in the future. Then once I have the turbo kit complete...look at going that route. In no hurry though....STOCK IS FUN! Don't know how long I'll be saying that though. Here's some more pics...

No rust, but there is some fading. No biggie!

Solid climate control

Had some sucky yellow steering wheel cover...it was the first thing to go even though the steering wheel is worn as hell.
Anyway, just thought I'd share...

You suck that is all I have to say
For real though nice car. Sounds like a fun trip. Looks nice no ripped seat very nice. That interior is very very nice.
DrDisco69 and I did something much like you only we drove to Phoenix, AZ for my 88 Y-49. Got her for $1800. We drove up to Santa Fe, NM to see a friend and then drove 23.5 straight hours back to Charlotte, NC and averaged 78.8mph with stops and complete LS, HF tranny, EX knuckles, Legend calipers, tools, luggage, full spare tire). Mine is going to stay stock. Here are a few pics of mine. And since you gave me permission to ***** with you.
Gilbert, AZ Picking her up from my buddy with the red Integra below that just so happened to come visit me this weekend.

DrDisco69 (left) and Me somewhere in AZ

Santa Fe, NM with supercharged S2000

Somewhere

Pace Car at recent Track Event

Can you believe only 3 people own all these and that isn't even close to the full collection for any of us. I own all but the Teal CRX (DrDisco69) and the Integra (cbaracing)

This weekend at my house

Requirement per doitdub. His car is better than mine and I want it. I wish I had it blaa blaa blaa...but my pics are better

So I see Chris made it down there!
Doitdub car looks awsome. I personally hate 89+ USDM doors, but other than that killer car. I wish I had an extra set of hands so I could give that **** 4 thumbs up!

How much did you pick it up for? Looks like its in great condition.
Good find.

Thanks for the comments guys. I went out there for $2k, but the owner hadn't seen it in a while and forgot to mention a couple things like a small crack in the windshield, the battery ordeal, and 50k more miles than was stated (said he has no idea how there is that much - 178k), so we agreed at $1600. After gas expenses and the new battery we'll say I paid $1900. Smokin.

89 Si it is
OE floormats would be nice, but I'm not about to pay as much as I have seen them going for. These are some custom made ones and are actually very nice.

Yeah I wish I had 88 doors. OH wait I doooooo!!!!! SUCKAS!!!!! Yeah it was a fun trip. Very long. $1600 to $1900 not bad at all. Good buy man. Do not take it out in the freaking Fort winters.
The baller pose was taken off some truck randomly sitting in the parking lot so we set the timer and snapped a pic off the top of the truck bed.

It's cool I know where 2 pairs of mint 88 y49 doors are. Hopefully the owners won't miss them!

*Toad wakes up at the Ohio meet only to find out he has no doors and can barely see me driving off into the sunset.

Whatever I'll bring attack dog (still less than a year old, thinks he is still 10lbs).....errrrr...well maybe....lick you to death dog. I'll be able to follow the drool marks dripping off Bart as he skips home with CRX doors.
