how high of compression can you have to safely run a turbo setup.

this is why i asked, i had a local shop rebuild my engine and here is a list of what the done:

bored
honed
eagle crank
aries 12:1 pistons
stock rods
port and polish
5-angle valve job
converted chambers

the only thing that i'm not happy with is that they talked me into getting those pistons and now i have a high compression non-vtec b18, but i want to work with what i've got and i want to turbo. is this possible?

if it is possible, it will be low boost and small turbo.

That makes no sense, 1.95 what? That cant be the bore size cause that would be small *** pistons.

Those 2 plus turbo will equal S shape rods or snapped rods.

If you upgrade your rods and get AEM EMS or something of that nature and a very good tuner then yes you could do it no problem.

 

Thats pretty high. I personally dont know anyone with a turbo car with that kind of compression.

If you really want to go turbo, I'd just get a thicker head gasket to bring the comp down.

 

fuel management will be no problem. i already have AEM filter, regulator, rail, and i'll be running a hondata s200.

and i already have a thicker headgasket, but what kind of rods should i run?

t25 turbo was what i would be running because thats what i already have.

and by bringing the comp down, i would have to replace the pistons. Right?
