People with Strup Race Header OR Race header in general....
Hey guys whats up? Had a couple questions for people with race headers and for people with Strup Race header. First off, Is there a bad smell of unburned gas since there is no cat, or can you not even tell? My other question is...people with the strup race header on their RSX type S, how do you like it? how is the quality? Have you dyno'd it..and if so what were your results?
TIA

i heard the guy who started strup used to work for DC and that the strup rh is almost identical to the dcrh so i that case it should be pretty legit...check out clubrsx- a ton of people on the board have that race header and like it

It is way better than dc sports header. The build is a lot stronger and the welds are much better. Also strup is a stainless steal header and will not crack like a dc sport. My buddy just picked one up for 270 with 5k on it. I reccomend them over the dc sport.

Yes you can tell sometimes when driving. Once in awhile I get a wiff of the un burned gasses but nothing to much just on a little windy day. The smell it not there though when driving.

Yeah, I called Strup and they said their headers are stainless and also they use a strong steel then most people. They said they use Tig welds as well which is a stronger weld then a Mig. They say they produce a better header that makes better gains. Obviously though all headers are going to look the same since its going on the same car. The difference will just be in the size of the piping, welding, quality of products used and the collectors and such. But for fitment issues they will basically all look the same...hence the reason the strup looks like the dc.

i have a dcrh
good price, perfect fitment, nice finish, great gains. can't say anything about strup cuz i never owned one.
and yes there is a smell coming from the exhaust, but not from inside the car, unless you reverse in a garage or the wind shifts or something.

i agree i have had a dc race header on my ep3 for a while and if its brand new theres a slight smell but as soon as you break it in a bit and unless u are going in reverse and the windows are down there is no smell

thats probably due to installation.... I've seen the strup headers they don't look cheaply made so i'm just guessing install problems ...
