Default inside of gas tank not looking too good. suggestions needed.

looks like be a dirt/rock grudgy buildup on the bottom of my tank and the sides of the tank have this what appears to be surface rust all over it. already rinsed the tank a few times with water and its helped it a little. is there some sort of chemical wash that'll help clean out all this garbage and neutralize the rusty bs on the sides? please help

Water will cause your tank to rust...buy a new tank. If your car is older than 1998 it is a real pita to remove due to most of that stuff being rusted. buy new straps with your new tank along with new mounting hardware.

Just throw some windex & amonium nitrates in there... along with a stick of tntizzle & you will be sqeaky clean. Ok... just kidding... new tank ftw.

the straps and the underbody of the car are fine. i dropped the tank solo and did it under 1 hour to change my fuel pump. its more of an issue with the tank itself. problem is this tank sat with some shitty gas in it for a while and i think thats what caused this.

if you live in ontario try bob jones auto parts

i would even try the auto wreckers see whats there.. a lot of time people put in new tanks in their cars then the motor f's up and the car is scrapped with a newer tank.. you can save tons of money that way.. if you live out west there should be tons rust free ones at the junk yards cause they dont use salt on the roads.

shop around
