Default New CRX owner...maybe

So I got a 98 GSR teggy, still owe bout 9 on it... I'm in the process of selling it to someone (11k) and thinking bout picking up a CRX for 1. cheaper to mod 2. cheaper insurance and I'd like to have a nice project... my buddy can do body work for free.. and I got another that can paint... I'm getting this CRX for $900 and he lives 300 miles away (free delivery)...

Plans are obviously, body work , repaint it black, swap, build, boost.

She isn't too pretty to look at right now..

And just for the hell of it.. a pic of my teggy Im leaving..

Tegra looks nice.

CRX doesent. But i think with some work you can get it looking nice. But usually simple maintenace is pretty expensive. Make a list what you would have to do to it. And calculate how much money you would have to spend just for maintenance it. Check for brakes, suspension, drivetrain etc.

CRX is in pretty good shape. A drop and rims would make it look alot less shitty (and to be honest, it's the only mods I find set these cars off). Look for the regular bads, rust, leaking sunroof/hatch seal. Signs of B&E (door handles/door jams). Blown main relay (common pain in the ***). It's very incomplete but for 900$...I'd give him $700 cause some of the missing parts are hard to find, like the e-brake cover.

Is it just me or does it look like the right front wheel is leaning way out? Hella positive camber.

$900 seems a little steep for sumthing that dented and sumthing you havent seen or driven. the other dude is right 650-700 would be the absolute highest id go.

p.s i love people who dont read before they type.

I would talk him down. For the amount of bodywork you need and the total lack of interior I would ask for a few hundred off the price.

That purple truck is not an S-10. WTF. That is an F150 or maybe a 250. But how would he know what vehicles those are, its not his neighborhood.

I was going to offer lower.. but he is willing to deliver it to me for free as well... (which saves me a few hundred from renting a trailer and gas in my truck to drive 300 miles 1 way)

I guess if I get it.. I'll have to post pictures after I finish body work. I'll keep you guys posted.

And that has something to do with me offering to buy it? I can still make the offer, as he can still consider it, and it doesn't matter if he owns it or not.

It doesn't look bad. IF I lived in Alaska though I would buy a Samurai, a Old Yota Truck or a Land Cruiser, link it up, full coil overs, and set it on some 37's. I hear Alaska is an awesome place to wheel. My buddy went up there for a year last year with his Bronco II. The teg Looks Killer BTW, It's obvious you have good tatse so I'm suire whatever you do will be nice. I know that I would love to climb some of those rock ledges wiith my Samurai.

Sweet! Here is my Samurai! On Locked Yotas, 37" IROKs, Coils Springs, and getting ready to stretch, and chop it! After my CRX is running that is. I gotta get my K swap done first.
Also Nice looking Samurai, shackle reversal looks done well. Good work!
