Default godamn CEL

ok so my car was throwing a bunch of CEL's... i got rid of all of them except for one... its 6(ect)... i even replaced the sensor with a new one too.. and the damn light keeps on...i disconnected my batter to see if it was throwing it from a trip mode or something and i pulled out the 15amp fuse for the ecu but nothing, its the same thing...can someone please suggest ssomething?

Have you checked your wiring in-between the sensor and the ecu?

the wiring is unmolested to my understanding...but how would i go about to inspect it?

Test each wire to the sensor for continuity between the sensor and the ecu. You will need to use a multimeter for this. This will tell you if there is a break in the wiring somewhere.

so what if i test and it doesnt fail? what do i do next? also can this sensor affect how my car runs? becuase lately its been running shitty since the CEL

The ECT sensor greatly affects fuel trim, especially while warming up. I'd test for continuity first, then mehbe test the sensor with a DMM while the car is running to make sure it's giving good values, and then mehbe try a new ecu in case it's a random ecu issue.

UPDATE:

got my friend to check continuity, he said it was good, then he checked the sensor and he also said it was good...i also tried another P28 and the same CEL popped up with same code....what else can i do about it? i also noticed that my temperature gauge doesnt even go up to 1/4 ways up, so that means my motor is always cold?? can someone please shine some light on me

anyone? this is driving me crazy, my car wont idle high even if its cold as its supposed to, is that related to the ECT sensor?
