Default Mini-me cam timing, help...

I've been reading on this for days, i've been reading that my timing is roughly off 7 degrees, it's a Y8 head, B1 block, single layer headgasket (.024" thinner than stock), i've read cam timing is retarded .1 degree per ~.011" and the head is retarded 4.75 degrees from the block using an 88-95 cam gear.

Since a half tooth is 4.75, a full tooth would be 9.5, shouldn't i have close to stock timing if i advance it a full tooth?

You should just use an adjustable cam gear to get the timing back.

I would, but i'm not serious about tuning this car and with an adjustable cam gear, i'd probably put it 2 degrees advanced anyway.
