Drum Paint
I've ot drums on my EM2 and I dont think i will be able to afford the disc conversion. I want to paint the drums black so it doesnt look as bad. What type of paint should i use. I've seen really crappy jobs and some of them with the paint chipping off from heat and such. Whats a really solid paint to get the job done? Thanks
you can go with caliper paint available at lots of auto stores or you can pick up a can of tremclad high heat black paint like i did. all i did was buy some steel wool sponges to take off the rusty spots and then sprayed brake cleaner on em to get the dust and residue off. then sprayed em down with two coats of the tremclad, they look awesome! did this to the front calipers too only i painted it on with small brushes.
Dupli-Color makes a kit just for that. Its a high heat spray paint that utilizes a clearcoat as well to keep the finish from flaking off and such.
It comes in a box, and itll run maybe 10-12 bucks.
