Replacing OEM tires
I will be replacing my rear OEM tires this week.
Should I keep the original make and model of tires (Bridgestone Potenza)?
Also, should I keep the OEM size or should I possibly go wider w/ shorter sidewall ex: (OEM - 225/50/16 to maybe like 235/45/16)?
I am on the stock 16" wheels.

If you stick with the OEM Potenza S02's:
Front - 205/55/16
Rear - 225/50/16
If you get another other tires besides the OEM:
Front - Same
Rear - 245/45/16
The OEM SO-2 is measure weird. It is actually equivalent to what I wrote above.

First, I don't think 235/45/16's exist. If they do, you'll be very limited to tire selection.
Second, to simplify what Nish was saying,
Bridgestone S02's 225 = 245 in any other tires, including other Bridgestones.
