Default tired of searching, guage cluster swappers please help...

so i picked up a 94+ gsr cluster and everything is working except the speedo and "Brights" light (if that makes since). i'm sure i can figure out the brights light but the speedo is driving me crazy. the vss is out of the y1 tranny that came with my engine. right now the wires are connected as so:
vss guage
black ground
yellow/white orange
yellow black white

i know that the ecu needs one of the signals to engage vtec, but i'll deal with that later. i just want to know if this is how to wire the y1 vss....

I think the gsr cluster how to page that's around somewhere says how to wire up the vss properly. I think they all might be different but black will always be ground and you can just swap the other two if they don't work the first time (I did that to get mine running). Also, for the brights I just figured out what wire got power when I turned the brights on and then hooked that up to my teg cluster by following the circuitry on the back of the cluster.

I have mine grounded in the engine back, you can prolly use the ground on the cluster if you want.
