Default New O2 sensor... What next?

So I just installed a new oxygen sensor to my 89 DX hatch. I knew for a pretty good fact that it needed one, plus the ECU was throwing an O2 sensor code. After I put the new one in and connected it up and such do I need to do anything else? I have seen people on here do something to their car and then say they need to reset their ECU... Do I need to do this? It also is throwing a code for a bad injector but I have checked the injectors and I think they are fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

You should be fine if the o2 sensor code is gone. Do you have code 16? That might be a main relay, it does this for me and will crank but not start.

turn key for acc then try to listen for the fuel pump. that will rule off the main relay. as for as code 16 goes look aound the injectors and clean them out a bit for old oil or grease. then blow out any dirt in them for the hell of it. then reset ecu. that wont proble help but its worth a shot.

A bad injector (code 16) can sometimes cause an o2 sensor (code 1) error. If an injector is pushing too much or too little fuel, it will be affecting air to fuel mixture. Go too far outside of the accepted tolerances of the o2 sensor, and it will throw a code.

...and how, exactly, did you determine this?

How do I reset the ECU? I know my main relay is bad. I have to get a new one of those. Would that cause those codes to go?
