Default 97 Accord EX Vtec problem

My friend's accord has just started dropping out of vtec whenever a latteral load has been put on the engine. For those less technical, whenever he goes into a turn Vtec drops out. We think it could be a problem with oil, but we changed it about 500 miles ago to factory amount. We're stumped on what it could be and i was hoping someone here knows what could be the problem? Only mod it has is an Intake. Also, not sure if it matters, it does need a valve job done as it starts to click after being warmed up. I hope someone here can help, i REALLY don't want to take that engine apart

i totally forgot about that solinoid, we'll probably check that tomorrow. Any idea on why it could be low oil pressure? It now drops out on straight aways so hopefully its just a dirty solinoid. I'll keep everyone updated and please feel free to add opinions

Motor just hit 100,000 miles the other day My friend got all giddy and took pics of it at 99,999 than a video of it rollin 100,000. Kinda weird but sentimental to him.

I think i can honestly say i hate the search feature here. I never find what i need most the time and i would find it later on when i wouldn't need it just by flippin through pages! Oh well

i guess i should say its just the quick search i dislike, where i can just type in "vtec" and get zero hits. Anyways, we changed the oil and we'll be doing some testing today. Hopefully that solves it
