my teg making a noise...from clutch?????

i have 98 teg gs 2dr, one day...when im going like over 45mph

and when i release my gas padel, it start making noise i cant explain the sound..

so i took the video, but when i press gas padel noise just stop.

i think when im on 4th gear it makes sound. but when i put my shift to 3rd gear which is D3 then it wont make that noise so other guy told me to always go with 3rd gear..-_-;

someone told me its a clutch and compressor? something problem.

and the guy told me to spray the 4wd?? the oil thing? then it will stop for few hour

but it still make a noise.

so i have post the video and picture.

that doesn't sound good at all, might be the torgue converter
what you lubed was the ac compressor

 

ahhh tat noise killing mee

somebody help meeeeeee

 

does not sound good, my bet is somthing to do with the tranny.

It sounds to me as like the clutch wants to over rev it selve. Im thinking that u need to buy a new clutch and flywheel. Becuase the clutch is sliping out of gear. So if u keep it in third than thats where most of the problem is being created, then when u go to fourth u can hear the probelm being created from thired gear, what happens when u go in to 5th gear.

its an automatic. did you watch the video?

 

yeah its automatic....

but my gas will be gone easily

can anyone help me with this problem?

should i go autozone or advance auto for free diagnostic?

or if problem is a tranny? than where can i get that and how much is tat?

and wat is tranny???

 

i haven't watched the vid yet, but it sounds like the guy is describing the clutch in the a/c compressor (nothing to do with the tranny). that's what you have circled as well. he seems to think the compressor pulley needs lubricating as well, which is why he suggested that you spray it with wd40.

when the car is making these noises, is the a/c on?

Yes!

 

Autozone can only run diagnostics on cars that are 96 and newer and have a check engine light. They can't diagnose sounds, although they can give you thier opinions. If you, or whoever had the car before you, ran the AC while the sytem was low on freon/oil it could kill the compressor, ultimatatley siezing it.

 

That is very weird. I dont think it is ur tranny since when the sound kicks in, ur motors rpm drops. I have no idea what is since the noise comes on when ur engines rpm drops. I guess it could be a VERY bad ac compressor that is VERY low on freon so when u turn on the ac and the clutch engages, its so hard to turn the compressor that it kills ur engines rpm. I bet that compressor is shot if it kills ur rpm that much.

first time someone told me turn off the ac while im driving

and it didnt make noise but after that when my ac is on, it still makes noise.

even i spray the wd40 it still makes noise...

im soooo pisssssse

so i went to ACURA dealership ask them how much is diagnostic fee and they told me $100....-_-;

please help me with that problem!!!

go to a tranny shop, aamco, or someother tranny place it shouldnt be too bad to diagnos

I had the EXACT same problem a few weeks ago. Tensioner pulley bolt was loose and it broke off and got wedged sideways between the crank case and frame of the car. No power steering or AC. I thought it was the clutch too because of the sound it made, but it was coincidence because I found that the sound was just at total random. Yours is probably loose, so you should get it checked out.

but my teg ac and power steering is working fine...

just the damn noise killing meee

i might check out collision or repair shop sometime this week.

look, put your car on some jacks, lift hood...run the motor, see where it comes from

If your car is an automatic than why did u say when i shift it in to 3rd it makes the nouise. This is so funny. I gotta fix just buy a manual trans and blow up your automatic tranny. Than problem is fixed no sound.

(I put my shift in to 3rd gear) lol lol the car does not u, are u helpin the tranny shift. In the movie it sounded like a bunny was in your tranny and wanted some food to get out.

anyway if it is on d3 it does not but if it is on d4 is does.

and it is AUTOMTIC.

 

I know its an (auto) i watched the video. Im just joking around because it just sounded like a bunny trying to get out. Alright so are u talkin about the (tranny). A tranny is your transmission. Or are u talkin about the clutch from the (ac compressor) Which turns your cold air on.
