Default Just got my AEM CAI and there's a problem

Well, it seems that they shorted me a few clamps. I got 4 of the 2.5" clamps, and I got one that's a little bit larger than those ones, I'm guessing to attach the filter to the pipe. But I didn't get the clamps to attach the water line or the breather hose.

I already emailed AEM and coximport.com to see if they'd send them to me.

In the meantime, can I get these clamps anywhere else? Like Autozone, or even Home Depot? These should work just the same, right? Or can I even use the ones that are on the car right now?

I wanna get this damn thing on!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Alex

just use your stock clamps. that's what we had to do w/ my bro's ITR. we also had to find some nylon reinforced tubing for the vacuum hose. the one they sent us was too short. i think aem's been smokin' something...

Cool, I think I'll just use the stock ones for now...and keep checking on them until AEM sends me the right ones. But now why would JDMHondaslut say "You must use the AEM clamps"?

Oh, and thanks for the help!!!

a clamp is a clamp. the stock ones will work just as well as the ones aem supply u with. i'd just use those and not worry about it.

Well I got that **** on there...Is it usually that big of a pain in the *** to take off the water and breather lines? They did NOT want to come off. I had to pry them off w/a screwdriver.

Another question...the filter was pushed onto the pipe all the way, and my splashguard (the little one right under the filter) doesn't want to fit. Also, the single screw that holds it in place is stripped. How can I fix this, or should I even bother? I don't drive the car in the rain although I do drive on a dirt road pretty often.

Thanks again,

Alex
