Default 96 del sol gsr swap

I searched a little bit but couldnt find an answer. so sorry if this has been covered. basically I need to know if I need a conversion harness for a si96 del sol gsr swap. Now I already have the ecu conversion harness. I need to know if the distributor wired harness needs to be converted for gsr swap. (Im a newb at cars so answer kindly) thanks for your help. and any other ideas that pop into your head that I might need like a delsol vtec shift linkage(which I already have)

Have you swapped the car yet?

If not, turbo D that beast. Not unless you got your B-series for a decent price.

ya man got a sweet price on the 1994 gsr. 2600 installed with upgraded clutch exhaust mani. so ya I was thinking about the turbo for a while but since no one I knew at the time was familiar with turbos I didnt want to go that route by myself. Ya its not going to be plug and play with my 1996 del sol and 1994 gsr. where do I get that conversion harness for the dizzy? I already have the ecu harness like stated before. thanks again for you help guys.

like what exactly year motor is the gsr, what exactly year is ur car, and what exactly parts do u have so far??? just get an obd2 wiring harness.... and obd2 distributor, i have an obd2 type r alternator that im willing to sale FOR CHEAP, and an obd2 dohc gsr ecu and ur good to go. to conversion harness needed. Do it the right way without piggy backing everything. I have a 94 del sol, with 97 type r motor, and i converted it to obd1 by using obd1 alternator, distrubitor, ecu, and that's pretty much it. Along with getting lucky and finding a del sol vtec shift linkage for dirt *** cheap. I have that obd2 alternator off my type r still which you'll need, PM me if interested.

96 del sol (obd2a)
94 b18c1 gsr (obd1)
vtec shift linkage
obd2a~obd1 ecu conversion wire harness

will this distributor work with my sols ecu? and the 1994 gsr? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
I was just thinking, why would I ask if it worked for the sols ecu? (newb) I dont think the sol's ecu could run a gsr. but the gsr Im buying has an obd1 ecu so I guess I'll still need a conversion harness for that right?

it depends... if your wiring harness is obd1 then no its going to work... if you convert it to obd2 then yes it will work. :-) heres a gsr swap...

cool pic, but it doesnt really help me get anywhere. well my car is obd2a stock. so that makes my wiring harness the same. I have a obd1 conversion harness for ecu. thats all I know right now. Im confused as there was a similar post that said if you have a conversion harness for ecu you dont need one for the distributor. is that so?? thanks again for your help. and again nice picture.
