wow man that sucks

when we pulled the head off the motor our jaws droped i never seen anything like it..

there was NO cylinder walls and the rods and piston where no where to be found looks like everything shrivled up

sorry mark for your loss it was a graet motor but you'll bounce back and get a new one

naa, that block is gone. No way damage that bad didn't warp and destroy everything. The crank, mains, deck itself. its all gone.

thats prob one of the worst blown engines i've seen in a while. Shrug street racing is stupid, and stupid things happen when you test the limmits of doing something.. here it comes... 'stupid'

booo @ you, it's not stupid, +++++50 to the people who try and test their car's limits....

Yeah, notice how it's the people who drive slow who are always in the ******* accidents... either the people who drive slow and **** people off, or the pple who get drunk and decide to go for a drive, it's rarely teh sober person seeing what his ITR can do... ex. the dumb bitch's on her cell phone and can't talk and drive or the skater boarder who's smoked too much ganga...

ur telling me that ur dad's all into muscle cars, big block V8's and **** like me..but he couldn't handle a honda? I don't care how u try to tell it, if u can handle an R/T challenger putting down like 475hp (approx) that usually is slow on the shift b/c of lack of syncros and u can't shift a honda fast enough.....Blah......I remember once I put my GTI into 2nd (meant to downshift and go into 4th) when I just got it..., but hit the clutch b4 the RPM's even matched..

I guess it's possible, but that's sad in the name of muscle cars, iono if u've ever driven one but u have to drive 'em with accuracy and pay attention if ur racing with them.. Got to be fast, g2 be smooth or u'll break the tires loose

In any event, I'm sorry taht such a nice motor was completely obliterated, yeah, seems like the whole motor (block/head) is shot - u said u think the tranny's shot, how do u figure this? I don't think it will be.... Not sure if u have enough money for another ITR swap but if u don't just sellt he ITR tranny and take it a step down w/ like a GSR or LS/VTEC.. I mean b/c that motor's like "!!!!!!!" in my book, my friend had one (blew the head gasket before he sold it)...loved that thing like a girl with nice *******, so I feel ya man, but man, this is what I learned in life.. "one door closes, another one opens" (which I have yet to experience) with good people... Hopefully you believe in karma and if ur a relatively good person then I'm sure u'll get another op on a good motor (and if the tranny isn't shot witch I don't think it is u can just by the block/head and slap that on it, lots of parts like the IM and headers will be salvagable off ur old ITR so ur in OKAY condition I guess :-\) So only thing I can say is good luck I guess..

thats what i was thinking but this time i want to go BIGGER, prolly ls/vtec turbo or gsr turbo.. what im nervous about is that my father didnt clutch in soon enough when the car bogged and then my trans is shot or my 2nd gear is gone
