i have a 1993 honda del sol si 5 speed totally stock. 114 on the engine and 174 on the car. the engine and tranny were swapped to make it 5 speed theyre the stock engine that comes with the car though. i bought it for 2000. theres nothing mechanically wrong with that car that i know of jsut a little rust. should i trade for this?! the guy is coming in 45 minutes. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/car/177991677.html. i might have to throw in like 400 dollars or so too. please help im only 16 and dont know that much about cars.

i dont know a lot about cars. he said he has over 7000 put into his car and he has receipts for everything including the engine swap which he said was 1200

dont trade your del sol for that piece of crap. the older model preludes came with a stock b20. nothing fancy about em. why would you wanna drive around in a box if you already have something a lil newer ?

I don't think it's that bad a deal, but make sure you look the car over really well. Check the oil and make sure it's clean, check to see if theres overspray on the moldings and stuff, if there is that indicates a shitty paint job. Take a small magnet and go over the rear quarter panels on the prelude right where there's rust on your del sol. if it doens't stick that probably means that it was rusty and repaired shitty.

It looks clean from the pictures, there's no way he dumped 7k into it but if you like the car and it meets the above criteria then do it. Keep in mind you're not going to get over $2000 when you go to sell it though, you'll be lucky to get that much too. Don't give him a dime more than your car.

 

Ok... look... you have so many more options with your car then that lude does... Trust me, your Del is a fine car, keep YOUR SOL!!!
