Default LSD options for Y1 tranny

I read a couple of forums already, but I am wondering why the hydro b16 tranny in a 99-00 would be able to get an ITR LSD, providing you change the ring gear, but the 88-91 Y1 b16 cable tranny cannot.

I was reading this forum:

And it says that the ITR or CTR LSD will not dit into a cable b16 tranny. I was under the impression that they would be close to the same thing.

the 99 si has the same case, all the hydro trannies have the same case, your y1 cable has a different case and internals, you can do this swap in a ys1 cable only

I just think its weird that the quaife LSD is the same for the all LS trannies, b16 trannies, and the GSR tranny (YS1) but you can't use the ITR LSD in a cable tranny. I've got an LS tranny and a Y1 and a CRX SI tranny. Maybe I'll have to make some kind of Frankenstein'd tranny setup. I know that the 99-00 civic SI has a different LSD but there's got to be a way to make it work. If you say it will work in a YS1 cable tranny, What is the difference in that transmission?
