B16 Gen 1 Swap into 91' CRX
I am having some trouble with my swap, and just wanted to see if anyone can help me out.
I have a 91 CRX HF that I put an OBD-0 B16 into this weekend. I bought it from hmotorsonline. I have everything installed nicely (and didn't rush it) with hasport mounts, hubs replaced, and axles in. I ran nice new wire for the knock, the vtec solenoid, vtec oil pressure (and grounded the second lead on oil pressure), and second o2 sensor.
I put the harness from my other motor onto this one, and everything matched up perfectly except for one plug from the EGR that this motor does not have, that I just left.
However, it runs like absolute crap. It is intermittently throwing code 6 (Coolant temp) but won't do it every time. I am not sure if this means anything but it seems to do it whenever I put it in reverse. Can this sensor be throwing it in limp mode? I tried diagnosing the sensor, and it seems to be good. The voltage test on the wires is good.
I put the old ecu on the motor (Disconnecting vtec sensor, pressure, knock and 2nd o2, and it ran exactly the same, bad. By this, I mean it hesitates when you give it gas, and it doesn't idle well. It also barely has power. I checked each plug wire for spark and they all have spark.
What do you guys think?

Well, at first i plugged in the one from the harness and wired the second one to the ECU and it ran how it is.
Then I did some reading and people said you can't just plug it in because it is the wrong way then, so I switched the wires.
How are they supposed to be wired?
Thanks!

so If I use 1 02 I wont get a bullshit CEL? then why does Hasport sell 4-1 header for OBD- 0 B16 with 2 pongs</TD></TR></TABLE>
If you use one 02 sensor, you're going to get a cel for the 2nd o2 sensor.

For those running only 1 o2 sensor when their should be 2!
Whens the last time you hooked up a wideband to your car ? Yes the car might seem to be running fine but unless you know what to look for ( running rich or lean ) you will never no
Do it right the first time, or pay in the long run.
Yes you really need the 2 o2 sensors, and you should have 2 bungs welded into the appropriate runners and not use the single bung after the collector.
If your running the odb0 ecu and its not chipped, yep there are suppose to be 2
Obd 0 requires 2 o2 sensors, i know because i have an obd 0 b16 1988 crx si and obd 0 b16 1990 Civic Si HB

the primary o2 sensor....c16
the secondary 02 sensor..c8
I'm pretty sure i got everything covered
