How can you not find it?

Look for a Device with a wire sticking out of your exhaust somewhere

It is right before the cat.

You don't even have to jack up the car to see it. Get a flashlight, and knell down in front of the front driver's side wheel and look. You should see it.

You don't have to take off the cat.

You just need to disconnect the electrical connector, and use a wrench or a O2 sensor socket wrench.

since '96 cars are definately OBD2, there should be 1 sensor behind the cat to monitor efficiency....not sure though....

On yeah, forgot about the 96 being OBD2. I beleive the secondary O2 sensor is located halfway in the cat. You probably will have to jack it up to see.

There should no need to take out the cat. That's more trouble than it's worth.

The manual shows to just disconnect the connector, and use a tool such as an oxygen sensor socket to remove it.

It should be on the cat, at an angle up towards the car.

i tried going under the car... looked but with no luck... should it be dirctlu bolted on the CAT itself or on the pipe before/after the CAT? im hoping that its just as easy as the one on the exh.manifold... right now my car is jacked up.. once i get a new tire, ill use a ramp to raise it up...
btw, im new to honda, esp in the accords im not so familiar with th locations, etc. of the parts... so please bear with me and any additional info for newbie is a great help!!!

It's #30.
Look on the top right side of the cat, it may be partly hidden by the heat shields.

With the right wrench or socket, you don't have to take off the heatshield. But I bet it would be pretty difficult with an adjustable wrench.
