Default B18C - install

I am having a B18C put into my civic. Is there a way to physically identify the different B series engines. Living in Thailand, the engine is being sent to the shop tomorrow. I know this one is not a Type R but should be a standard B18C (180hp?). What should I be looking for to identify the B18C for sure, and any recommendations I should throw at the mechanics besides compression check, new clutch etc.

appreciate you throwing your thread within one minute of my post, but how do you identify a B18C from a different B series?

I am not the mechanics putting this motor in and not concerned with the install details, just wanted to make sure tomorrow when the motor arrives it is in fact a B18C.

if you look on the block of the motor, where the motor meets the transmition in the front, there is a stamp on it, a flat piece of metal that sticks out of the block a bit. It should be stamped with numbers, and it should say "b18c"

yes, but if the motor is from JAPAN, B18C can either mean GSR or Type-R
