Ok well i was checking my air pressure today. Ive only had my car for a couple of months. But anyways i notiecd that one of my lug nuts was sticking out 1/2inch further than the rest and i thought that it wasloose. I went to tighten it and realized that it was longer than all of the rest? I realize that having that on there probably isn't a great idea and i am changing it this afternoon... but it couldn't have caused any damage... right?

 

Just find a new lug and you'll be good.

 

Any idea where i can find ONE lugnut to match all the rest? Dealership?

 

how would that be bad? my friend had a longer lug nut on one of his wheels, nothing ever happened.

 

it throws the wheel out of balance. Something that weighs a couple of ounces multiplies to a whole lot of weight when you are going 60mph.
