rpm question
is it ok for me to drive my car bringing it up to 4000 rpm for each gear? i find the d16 cx to be quite slow so i have to bring it to a high rpm to actually start "going". maybe it's partly because i shift slow. im still kinda new. how do you other d16's drive your car?
ha i had a d16 i beat the living **** outa it and it still didnt die.. 4000rpms wont hurt a thing, i hit my rev limiter at 6800 rpms at least once a day for almost 2 year, and did plenty of burn outs, the car still ran strong and i sold it for 3500 lol, remeber its a honda not a domestic so dont be afraid to get on it a lil here and there, or everywhere, just dont getta ticket, have ya thot about doing some mild upgrades such as intake and exhaust? it'll give your car that lil extra power to get it goin, not to mention it'll sound better. the only problem i found was (if it is a low milage car like under 40k miles) i would go a lil easy on the clutch untill u know that it was well broken in... those D series engines may not be the fastest but let me tell you... they are tuff motors and hard to kill!
hell yea they are, man i just blew one up the other week, but it was because i drove with no oil for 50 miles beating the **** out of it with a 110 shot of nitros lol (just wanted to see what it could do) because i had already purchased a gs-r lol

go for it, if gas is cheap I shift at 6500...
if not 3500
