GSR pistons in a LS ?
Hey i have a 99 LS and i am working on turboing it. Does anyone have any suggestions from experience, like should i start with stock internals and then upgrade b.c of the price or what?
also if i upgrade my internals, could i put forged gsr pistons into the ls?
Thanks
Justin

. Besides GSR pistons have higher compression than your ls pistons and that may not be a good idea for you anyways. Forged pistons are always a good idea and I would suspect you want to keep them in the 9:1 compression ratio.

It's really not worth it, you would have to have the pistons modified to fit the ls rods, and it would actually increase you compression by about .3 compression points. With the stock ls internals you should be able to boost at about 10 Lbs. max if you are tuned, have upgraded injectors and an intercooler. Try looking through the turbo forums, you should get alot of good info as well as opinions.
