Default 17x8 wheels on '99 Civic SIR

I'm getting some ideas for rims and I thought about going with a 17x8 wheel on the back so I can get a bigger lip.. anyone know if they would it fit alright on my car? I just don't want them to stick out past the fender or rub.. I'm pretty sure they would on the front, so I'm thinking of keeping the same size I have now, 17x7 on there..

I would stick with 17x7. You'll want to use the same size at both ends, 205/40-17. With the same width and tire size, at least you can rotate them front to back to even out the treadwear.

I'm not too concerned about tire rotation.. do you know if they'd fit alright?
