I was cruising and my CEL light turn on then instantly my car just shut off, I was able to park on the side.
I waited a little then it started again.
Later the same day, at my uncle's house, when turn the car ON, the CEL didn' t went off and the engine didn' t start.
I then unplug my radio fuse to reset the ECU, CEL went off and the car started; I put it in Reverse, the CEL get back and car shut down again.
I wasn' t able to retrieve any code as the CEL was staying on.
What do you think it can come from ?
I suspect the main relay...

One time when I was cruising down the highway with my cruise control on my car shut down and the check engine light came on, turned out it was my distributor, but it could also be your ignition coil. Check the code to see what your problem is.

My eyes just went all twisted... Trying to understand parts of that.. :S

 

I can't get a code, when I jump the connector, the CEL stay ON, it doesn' t blink.

 

hmm i have never heard of a main relay problem like that

the only main relay problems i've heard about is initial start up.

 

I had this sometimes, initial star up.
My car would start and shut down right after, so I resolder the main relay.
It was working good until this saturday when the car shut down while I was cruising, it's the first time it happened.
I switched my main relay with my auto lude one and made this thread in case someone already had the same problem and help me to fix this problem.
Hope it's the main relay.
