Default are we alone?

Looks like all the good products i've seen so far (injen intake, hondata reimage) are for the Si.. will any company worry about us 1.8's???

It depends on demand...The more people out there who want to modify their 1.8s, the more companies will start to develop parts for them.

Personally, I think adding bolt-ons to the base engine is a futile effort at best. The design goal for that engine was economy and flexibility, not horsepower.

My Sentra SE-R is a good example: the 2.5L was developed to power midsize sedans and compact trucks. When placed in a compact, it makes for a great upgrade from the base, but because it was designed to be both economical and torquey, there's no place to go with bolt-on mods. the engine is rated at 175hp, and the addition of i/h/e/cams barely gets you to 200.

Agreed, tt's simply a matter of time.

Down the road people will start to develop for the 1.8 but the focus is on the SI... can't really blame 'em as I'd focus on that first as well

Fujita already has their intake out... but what I'm hoping for is something similar to the Comptech Icebox as I'd rather have an enclosed filter rather than something just waiting to drink a puddle

i think aftermarket companies will come out with lots for the non si civics it just takes time. the car has only been out for what...a couple months. id like to see some boosted non-si's
