Drag Radials for VX wheels
I have a set of VX wheels strictly for drag use. Right now I have some yokohama road racing tires on them. Theyre smaller than stock so its messes up my gears and makes my car bottom out sometimes coming back through the pits and the way to the track. With their stiff sidewall they arnt much better than street tires. The stock size for the tires is 165/70-13. Theyre only 5 in wide. I cannot find any kind of drag tire for this rim. It only ways 9.7 lbs so its be awesome to find a tire for them. It anyone could point me in a direction of a brand or even an exact tire thatd be awesome.
First off, get out of the 13inch tire world because their isn't any good drag tires for 13's.
Grow some ***** and get aleast 14's so you can get decent tires and get some traction.
Get a good 15x6.5 inch wheel so you can fit 225/50-15's or a 15x7 to get 235's.
But hey, what do I know, I only work at a tire shop.

Sell them and get something wider. VX wheels are worthless for competition, regardless of how light they are. They simply aren't wide enough.

Hmm . . . that's funny, because there are several drag slick sizes available for 13" wheels from M&H and Mickey Thompson among other brands.

Grow some brains and do some research so you'll at least know what you're talking about.

He'd want a minimum 7" wheel for 225s. I would reccomend 7.5" or 8". Besides, "real" slicks don't come in metric sizes.

Obviously not much.

You're also 18 and apparently have little experience with the subject at hand.
